Our team of veterinary professionals is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for our full-service veterinary hospital. Primary responsibilities include providing exceptional patient care, client communication and education, assisting veterinarians with a wide variety of medical procedures, as well as other duties that assist in the overall operation of a full service veterinary hospital.
Qualified applicants are comfortable with basic vet tech skills such as IV catheter placement, venipuncture, canine and feline vaccine schedules, anesthesia induction/maintenance/monitoring, surgical prep, a wide variety of in-house diagnostics, radiographic positioning, and aiding our doctors during appointments and surgeries. This candidate will thrive in a team environment while providing outstanding client and patient service, and will also encourage an uplifting environment for other staff members as well as our clients. We are seeking an Experience Licensed Veterinary Technician with 2yrs+ experience.
Candidates must be compassionate, treat all animals with great care and be comfortable working with both dogs and cats of varying breeds and personalities. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, must be proficient multi-taskers who are able to prioritize, stay on task and function efficiently. Our LVT's are utilized to their fullest potential.
Daily tasks to include but not limited to:
-Extensive client interaction and education
-Must be self-motivated, a leader and a team player
-Attention to detail is a must, and be able to multi-task
-This is a hands-on physically active job
-Must be able to work evenings and some Saturdays
Applicants must be proficient in the skills listed below:
-Anesthesia: Catheter placement, induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovery
-Surgery: Pre & Post- Surgical monitoring, sterilization and maintenance of all instruments and equipment
-Dentistry: Dental Radiology (will train if needed) Ultrasonic cleaning and polishing
-High volume of laboratory duties: Phlebotomy skills, collecting, preparing, running in-house urinalysis, cytologys and blood smears; processing lab work using in-house IDEXX Vet Lab Station; collecting and preparing lab work sent to outside laboratory.
-Radiology: Positioning patients, calculating appropriate settings for each patient
-Client communications: Speaking clearly and comfortably with clients in reference to patients' updates, discharge instructions, medication instructions
-Pharmacy: calculating appropriate dosages
-Help prioritize treatments with doctor and facilitate completion of treatments

Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. Schedule is Monday-Friday and every third Saturday and Sunday.
